For more than 40 years, billions of gallons of contamination, pollution, and wastewater, stemming from failing infrastructure across the border, have ravaged California’s southern coastline. Californians are suffering from the health, economic, and environmental impacts of continued transboundary flows. The hearing will provide members and the public an opportunity for federal representatives to expand upon what the federal government’s efforts mean for local residents and the state of California.
