Senator Padilla’s Statement on the Fatal Shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego

SACRAMENTO – Today, Senator Steve Padilla (D-San Diego) issued the following statement after 3 victims were killed at the Islamic Center of San Diego.

“I am horrified by the shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego that left three people dead. There is no place for hate in our state, especially in our places of worship. I strongly condemn this attack and stand in solidarity with the victims, their families, and the Muslim community. This violence is an assault on the values of humanity, freedom, and coexistence that unite us all. We mourn those lost, support those affected, and call for greater compassion, unity, and justice in the face of hate.”
