Senator Hertzberg to Become Next Senate Majority Leader

SACRAMENTO – Today, Senate President Pro Tem Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego) announced that Senator Bob Hertzberg, D-Van Nuys, will serve as the next Majority Leader of the California State Senate.

Upon the announcement, Senator Hertzberg released the following statement:

“It will be an honor to serve as Majority Leader at this moment of tremendous opportunity for our state. For as much as our Democratic majority has been able to accomplish, from building up a Rainy Day Fund to leading the way on climate change, we must continue to push the envelope. I thank Pro Tem Atkins for her continued leadership, and look forward to working with my Democratic colleagues to do great things for the people of California.”
